To the best of my knowledge (though there are many here who know more than me) Gilroy only made 88 or 100 ci engines. Kings Mountain bumped it up to 105. And Polaris introduced the 111 in 2013.
The end of your VIN is G for Gilroy and 011117 for the sequential production number. Nothing to do with engine size.
Starting from the first character in the VIN, go to the sixth character. This should be either B (for 88ci) or C (for 100ci).
No, Gilroy did not make a limited edition with a 111 motor. The 2004 Scouts and Spirits were slated to have a new motor, but it was a bottlecap PP92. Those never made it to production, but there are a few floating around out there. Like 5-6 of them...
