  1. Indian Chieftain
Hey, I'm new here. I ride a 2018 Chieftain Limited. I bought it new 3 years ago and have since clocked 50k on her with zero issues up until now. I'm in Texas, and winter storage isn't a thing we do down here. As some of you may know, We got hit with a snow-inspired circus and dumped into chaos...
  2. Indian Motorcycle General Discussion
There is a surprisingly very little information out there on this subject. At least not enough for me to be confident on making significant modifications. Have any of you installed an oil pressure gauge (OPG) on your TS111? I'm working with a 2018 Springfield and would like to mount a 2 1/16...
  3. Indian Scout
I put the oil drain plug with crush washer in and went to tighten and it just spins. It won't tighten down. I tried to back it out and it just spins. Any advice?

Weve all seen them. Most are tired of seeing them. You know the ones. Tires, Type AND Viscosity of Oil......etc erc etc. Why not have these just in a repair and maintenance section THAT DIES NOT APPEAR on recent post and/or popular post. Everyone will know where they are so it solves the poor...
  5. Indian Scout
Hi all. Just wantedt know if its okay to use Mobil 1 VTwin 20w-50 instead of buying oil directly from Indian.

I know that the Scout owner's manual says to change your oil every 10,000 miles, but I've always been in the habit of changing the oil at the end of every riding season on my old bike, regardless of how many miles I've ridden. I bought my 2018 Scout in January last year and put 2,300 miles on...
  8. Indian Chieftain
I have read some previous threads about friction modifiers being used in applications that use a common sump for the clutch and engine oil. I have used AR9100 in my diesels and gasoline engines for my trucks and my Harleys. None of them have the common sump, so I contacted Archoil and...
  9. Indian Motorcycle Tech Q & A
I have been told by an excellent V-Twin motorcycle mechanic that Chevron Delo 400 15-W40 is an excellent motor oil to use in my 2017 Road Master Classic . Any feedback on this .

  10. Indian Motorcycle Tech Q & A
I ride a 2015 Chieftain with 29800 miles on the clock. I , like most everyone else, used the Indian oil when new because I was duped into thinking if it was engineered for the bike then it must be good stuff. I was also disappointed in having to pay $12.00 for a quart of oil but was also...

  11. Indian Motorcycle Tech Q & A
Yes, I know it's an oil thread, but this one is a bit different. I find myself with 3 quarts of Redline 10w40 and 3 of Amsoil 20w40. I know people have had good results with both of these oils, but I'm wondering if there would be negative results in mixing them together. I don't really want...

  14. Thunder Stroke 111 Performance & Suspension
Hi. A friend of mine bought a 20yrs old Evo HD and showed me a little feature he do not want to use anymore. It is a little adapter, an extension for oil filters which is a cooling element, a patent from apx. 1995 which was used for HD. Is there an equivalent for the filters used on our TS111...

I'm looking for an oil drain pan that will fit under the bike while it is on its kickstand. I have a Chief and I'm finding that most of the standard 16 quart pans just are too thick too fit. Last oil change I used an aluminum pan from the Dollar Store for cooking turkeys, which worked but was...
  16. Indian Scout Sixty
So I picked up my brand new Sixty and I have completed a grand total of 234 miles on it and it's got an oil leak! It's running down the engine at the base of the filter housing and around the oil filter onto the ground/along the bottom of theengine. It doesn't look like it coming from the filter...
  17. Indian Motorcycle Tech Q & A
Hi! I have a 2016 Springfield, Freedom fishtails stage one Indian AC and a Power Commander. Took delivery a few months ago, never checked the oil, took it in for the 500 miles service at 600 miles, etc. Yesterday decided to check my oil as she has about 1,500 miles on it now. Nothing on the...
