Has anyone tried using a rubber o-ring on your drain plugs instead of the crush washers? It would seem that you would not need very much torque to prevent stripping.

If this isn't the right thread, my apologies. I know it was listed before, but for the life of me I cannot find it. There was a reference concerning what to ask for when you go to autozone and get new crush washers. Does anybody recall? thnx

So what size are the crush washers? I lost the package I had because my garage looks like a bomb went off in it. And where is everyone buying them? Getting ready for my 15K oil change before vacation.

i hadn't ridden for a few days and noticed a puddle of oil under my Roadmaster. I took it in to the dealer and they found a hairline crack in one of the two oil drain plugs. They said this is the third one they've seen at their dealership.
