Had some scraps laying around so I threw together a few pieces. I wanted a solution to cover up some protective film I wanted to use to protect the fender when I have the pillion seat on: So I made a bib which just covers the PPF (so it won’t scratch the fender either). The general theme...

Hello! I found this leather jacket today in a thrift shop and I'd like to know more about it, I couldn't find anything. It weighs over 2 kilograms, all the buttons say Indian, and it has a detachable lining (I think that's what it's called), which also has indian on it. It has a big pocket on...
  3. Motorcycle Riding Gear & Accessories
I've been riding with my former step-dad's leather jacket from the 70's, which has always been a rough (albeit needing some love) jacket, but it never quite fit me right. I decided it was time for new leathers. After doing a ton of reading here, and across Reddit, and polling people on Reddit...

Is anyone aware of how to tighten the leather saddle bag straps as there does not appear to be a way to tighten them? Just bought a 2020 Vintage and the bag straps are very loose and flap in the wind. Sort of annoying at this point.
  5. Indian Scout Sixty
I have a Scout 60 and love it.....when I ride with leather it tends to scuff the tank. I have looked in to clear tank wraps and pads but I really don't want to use them. It would take away from the beauty of the tank. Has anyone found a solution to this issue? I know others have had the same...

I made this seat for myself. It is cowhide with an alligator impression. I wanted it to be low and make the Springfield look better. I need to take the windshield off. I am using a lever type spring. You can barely see it on the side. And I still need to design a cover for the electronics. I...

Just purchased a 2014 Chief Vintage and I need to revive the worn out and weather dommage leather. Looking for suggestions to restore leather seat and bags from weather dommage ! Needs TLC ! Thanks

Lots of discussion about bag liners but I am interested in bag covers. I made up a set from a fairly heavy material and I rode them to Dallas and back and I was pretty happy with the result - kept the rain and road grime away just fine. Anybody know if someone is making these?

Hey Guys, Looking for some help with our barn find. It is a 1948 Indian Chief that was in a collapsed barn. We have the title. Bike has rust as it's been buried in rotted wood for the last 20 years. But no dents, guage cluster still intact, we have all the parts except for the heads and the gas...

I bought my 2015 Chief Vintage used and was going to clean and redye the leather. The previous owner gave me the Indian tan leather care kit which I'm not sure he used. My question is simply this. When I opened the bottle of leather dye it was the consistency of pudding. Not hard or dried out...

What are people using for the leather seat care other than Indian products? I've used Apple Brands Leather Care products on my jacket and chaps for years as that is what my leathers guy sells and recommends. I've used saddle soap on his hard saddle cowhide bags, what about the Indian Scout bags?

Thunder Works is now offering a large drink holder for your bike. It will hold large 32 ounce bottles such as YETI. It uses a new mounting system that is the strongest on the market. Mounts onto 1" or 1 1/4" bars. Here is a LINK: http://www.indianaftermarket.com/drink-holder.html
  13. Indian Scout Sixty
I have a leather jacket that is a bigger size so I can layer when it is cold.....So when I ride my Scout in a normal riding position I find that the leather jacket touches the tank. There are times when I get back the paint is scuffed a bit...enough I need to hit it with polishing compound to...

Retailing at $850 USD, this is an expensive jacket, up there with some of the best. How does it compare? I don't know, because I'd never pay the price for a Langlitz or Lost Worlds, Aero, or whatever. This is more in the range of Schott and Vanson stuff, and is made in the USA, like Hillside...
  15. Indian Motorcycle Tech Q & A
I know there are a few threads on this subject, and I think I read them all but still have couple of questions, so I thought I would write all the questions that came to mind and that have been previously asked to consolidate the answers under one thread. Especially that there seems to be more...
  16. Indian Chief Vintage
Got kinda tired of the fading and re-dyeing on my 2014 Vinnie........started to look like a sort of baby crap green, so I remembered having read somewhere about using a two parts Saddle Tan and one part Brown combination. Went to Tandy's, bought the juice, mixed it up and slathered it on. Pretty...

I would like to darken up this lighter colored fringe to match my bags and seat for a little project that I'm working on. . I've seen many different methods posted on line, but thought it would be best to hear from Indian owners, as we tend to a bit more stringent than most.

Call me dusty, just some 28 year old schmo who finally decided to saddle up now rather than waiting to be 50+/retired. While riding is an absolute joy, I try to be very safety oriented. At least in the turnout gear. In my area [NW Ohio], feel like the only cruiser rider with a full-face helm...
