History
The bike was sold new by Mall of Georgia Indian Motorcycle (Buford GA) in February of 2018.
The original owner had MOGIM do the first service that Spring and an oil change the following Spring, added a passenger seat with pegs and accessory spools at some point, and traded up for a faired bagger of some sort in February 2020.
I viewed the Chief online shortly thereafter from 500+ miles away and could hardly believe my luck after almost a month of searching and assessing other options... here was a low mileage bike (2068 on the odometer) in the model and color I preferred, with minimal accessories (providing a relatively "blank canvas" for me to work with), documented proper maintenance at the original dealership, and a price of $11,700. It was a relative no-brainer, and brief communication with MOGIM quickly led to an agreement.

I'm loving this bike! She's a looker, sounds great, comfortable and fun to ride... I just could use a little more cowbell! (...previous bike was a Triumph Rocket III Touring. That thing did have some grunt!)

Looks awesome!!! Bags, windshield, pegs, backrest, etc. Will give a another great look. I have it all. And I never can make up my mind on how I want the dark horse to look. My chieftain stays rigged out the same always.

Looks awesome!. I've got the passenger seat and sissy off mine now. Just put new touring tires and fixed all recalls. The trim is plastic and will crinkle over time. Indian isn't replacing it with real chrome. Just the same plastic. So the dealer is having a hard time moulding it to the bike.

The one thing that you might want to do to complete your great looking Chief is get an original style seat that has the leather skirt and fringe — IMO it would tastefully complement the other leather fringe on your bike.
Other than cutting costs I’ll never understand why Polaris didn’t continue to install the original style rider seat on all Chiefs, Chief Vintage and classic style Springfields.

I like the sound of that. When I can afford it, I'm gonna get some Boss Bags in black or maybe a medium to dark brown and have them do the seat to match. Something like this or darker. I could totally see a seat skirt and fringe being part of the picture.
