Thank you for making the oil change video Dtyndale, looking forward in getting my Scout and doing most of my maintenance on it. I found that using a motorcycle chock really helps keeping most motorcycles up straight to work on them. Here is what my motorcycle chock looks like and I picked it up at Cycle gear on sale for $79.99. Harbor Freight Tools have their motorcycle chock on sale for $39. Hope these items help others out there who are going to do their own maintenance on their Scout.

Get one of these and you can. I bought mine for $39.99 with coupon. you will have to trim the front stop for this fender, it is quite handy and the bike does not have to be tied down.

Assuming you have this anchored to your garage floor by some means?

If you put 5.5 qts in it, then you have enough. Just please make sure that when you drain oil you let it drain on the kickstand and then stand it upright for a couple minutes. More will puke out. I think thats why people get it thru the vent and into the air filter with having not stood the bike upright during change. Also run it after a few three or four qts go in.................shut it off and add the rest. You will be OK. I don't think those dipstick markings are dead on the money anyways.

I bought one of these 3-4 years ago for changing the oil in the rocket, it holds the bike up without tying it down. It is great for cleaning and detailing as well. I screwed a piece of wood to the bottom and then lay another piece down on top of that where the back wheel can hold it down for backing off of it. It is much cheaper than a table.
