Hey, folks. Just a wandering thought . . . has anyone ever installed locks on these saddlebags? If so, what did you use? I love the look of these bags on my bike but I wish Indian Motorcycle would've had the forethought to put locks on them. You know, to keep the honest people out. ;)

A fellow replied to this query elsewhere and said he'd used these to make his Vintage bags lockable, but I'm thinking he was talking about leather bags and not the hard interior these Scout bags have.

I used these on my 2018 tan leather bags. The process for those has been described here before. Not sure about yours though.

Thanks, lost. I'm worried they won't work because of the hard interior. Tomorrow I'm going to check the width of the inside/outside of these bags and continue from there.

Still haven't been down to check out the bags on my bike; seems to start raining again every time I look out the bloody windows. Anyhoo, a chap in another group and I got to babbling about this issue and he said, "Why wouldn't something like this work?"

And I suppose it would do the job, though I wouldn't want to cinch it too tight for too long as it might have an affect on the aesthetics of the soft outer part of the bags. Hey, sue me. For the price of these buggers I want to keep them looking purdy. 😁
