I don't get why people are voting for the last one? If looks like someone put a dead horse's head on it where the saddle belongs? What is the appeal?

The seat Is called a "Chumee" seat, It was for 2 up riding back in the 30's through the 50's. The bike was restored after sitting for over 17 years in a garage in Vermont. For being 68 years old she rides better than any bike I have ever ridden! She might not be the fastest, but she is built for comfort and looks! I do love the old gal!
When it was realized that passengers liked being a little closer to the rider and not perched on the rear fender, the rider's seat was lengthened and became the Chum-Me Seat on the Indian. Just some info!

I've always been confused about this contest. Is it an Indian Motorcycle Contest or a Indian Motorcycle Photography Contest.

I was but now that I have the explanation, it's better. When I was little by dad had a HD 90 and I used to ride in front of him not behind, so I can see that kind of thing on this seat too. Still looks like a dead horse to me though. To each their own.

I would simply answer your question as "YES" then add IMHO...
I see the monthly contest is venue for creative types to show pride in photography & their Indian motorcycle, it's for fun, subjective for voters and not to be taken seriously. But again that's just the way I look at it.

Thanks to Wicked for taking this on every month.

    Cheers,
    D-Man

I think we now need a pre-Polaris and post-Polaris photo contest. Not really fair to have a nicely kept or restored older bike up against newer bikes. They are all winners here.
