I got on my Darkhorse for the ride to work....it's about a 30 minute ride.
As I pulled on to I5 headed south, in my mirrors, I saw the sun, just coming up behind me, and the most beautiful purple pink sky.

Then as I dropped down into a valley, I could smell the ocean, it brought a huge smile to my face, and as I came up out of the valley, the state capital was off to my right in the distance. The dome was bathed in the purplish pink morning light...beautiful.

I never notice this shit when I'm driving to work in my car.

    I'm lucky I ride.

Upon seeing that, I might have developed work blindness. No way could I see myself making it to work.

Only a motorcyclist knows the pure joy a dog experiences while it's head is out of the car/trucks' window!

YES! Not this exactly, of course, but I empathize.

I'm up in PA. Lots of it is hilly and farm country. There are quite a few places on my work commute where I can look across a farmer's field and catch the sun coming up - not always the most pleasant smells, but there are some places in the woods and past yellow flower fields that smell great and just put you in the mood to be in nature.

I was thinking of this the other day. Our Aussie loves chasing a Frisbee more than anything in his life. He runs, flips, smiles, rolls over and plays until he is about ready to drop....That's the way I feel when I get rolling on my Dark Horse!!!!

I know when I am riding I smell the flowers (bluebonnets in the TX Hill Country) the early dawn fresh air (Colorado), the earthly smells (New Mexico), but God help you when you ride too close to the Trinity river in Fort Worth/Dallas area:p
