I read it on the internet so it must be true. Anyway there should be only one Indian Scout on the planet, and with that we say goodby to the Octane.

OK, Maybe now we can quit hearing all the Scout guys crying and whining their Scout is not as fast as the Octane.

Think of all the poor saps who own these Victory bikes and just lost 50-70% of the value of their bikes.

Maybe we're next! These big corporations are nothing but animals!

That is why Polaris closed the plant for 4 weeks this last December. They were shutting down the victory line at that time and moving things to a full-time Indian line.

I mean it was a No- Brain-er that Victory would say Bye Bye to the Victory line - why would they compete against their own Indian Brand name.

I was looking at a Victory Empulse electric 6 months ago and the dealer told me that Victory would never see light again after the new year - looks like he was dead on.

Polaris also told him the Octane was fist built to be the Octane in the Victory line then they re-badged it to become the Scout we all know. After the Scout was released they afterwards released the Octane. In simple words - we're all driving Octanes with Indian ID.

Maybe some of the soon to be former Victory dealers could pick up the Indian brands and increase the number of dealers we have to choose from. There aren't that many Indian dealers around. Might increase sales, too.

Sorry IdleUp but my Scout was born into this world in 2015, an Indian Scout with homage to the early 1900's Scouts. Because this is my thread,my belief, I'm sticking to it. And now that you've read this thread on the internet you know it's a fact because I just said so.

Does that make the Octane rare and collectable ?

Indian Motorcycle's been hot since they reentered the market in 2014. With the demise of Victory, Indian will be on fire.

I am a little concerned with the Scout since my dealer is loaded with 2016 Scouts and has not even ordered a 2017 Scout yet.

I would be more concerned about your dealership. They should be running sales on last years models and have at least a 2017 on the floor.
