I have not customized my bike at all, so I find it interesting when I park it at a restaurant and see people walk by and look at it, and take pictures.

I have to allow extra time running errands on it because people always want to ask about it. It's a 2014 Chief Vintage, but many comment on what a great restoration job I did. o_O Yeah, I like the attention. And NO ONE confuses it with an HD like they do my 2003 VIC Classic.

I was asked the other day how much did all the custom work cost on my stock 2017 Roadmaster.

Have you tried offering to let them sit on it while you take a photo using their phone? A friend stations himself at a popular tourist spot where lots of Asian tourists will pay $5 for the privilege. Amazing how much he collects per hour.....

I rode up to deals gap a couple of weeks ago. One out of every two bikes was a Harley, no lie. Well there was one Indian there which was mine. Can you guess which bike the crowd was checking out? What my wife and I thought was really cool was, the die hard Harley guy's were sneaking peeks at my bike when they thought no one was around.

I was going to say, people ask me if I restored it myself, and what year it is (60's).

    Obviously they don't know.

I get asked how I like my old restored Indian, just laugh and tell them I didn't know all the old Indians had fairings like my 2015 Chieftain.

I've always wondered what people do with all those pictures they take of my bike.

Walked out of the IGA store in Sedona awhile back and the Classic was parked right in front by the doors. There was a woman taking pictures of it and I quickly found out that she was from France and thru broken English somewhat, she said she wanted to send her husband picture of it back home. So I said. 'get on it and I'll take a picture of you or two' and I thought this ole gal was going to have a double orgasm by the offer. Made me feel good and she was just ecstatic. Kept shaking my hand, thank you's in the dozens, and guess I made her day. Funny how older people in their late 70's or 80's............mostly female..............have Indian stories about an old flame, husband, or boyfriend or brother that had one and they remember riding here or there. I suppose we all will be that way.

This. I'm not aware of anyone snapping pix of the Scout. But, many years ago, I had a cop take several shots of my then, recently finished Shovel and it was decidely uncool, along with the ticket he gave me for apes which was very uncool!

I'm perpetually embarrassed by the state of my bike. It's well ridden and rarely cleaned but people always take photos or ask me if they can.

I never offer for people to sit on it and politely decline if they ask. I don't know whether they could hold the bike and I think it bad etiquette to sit on a bike with the stand down.
