2017 AFT Charlotte Half Mile Results –Defending American Flat Track Grand National Champion Bryan Smith scored his first victory of the season in the AFT Twins class presented by Vance & Hines on Saturday evening, April 1, at The Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway. It was a dominant win for Smith (Indian Motorcycle backed by Allstate Scout FTR750) beating fellow Indian Motorcycle rider Jared Mees (Indian Motorcycle Rogers Racing Indian Scout FTR750) by 3.769 seconds to put an end to his rival’s win streak going into the break.

“We didn’t qualify fastest, but once we got racing, I felt comfortable,” said Smith. “I feel like in any race if I can beat Jared (Mees), I can win the race, and if I beat him, I can win the championship. I’ve got to get back to doing it more often. I especially wanted to win today, because we’ve got some bragging rights going into the mini off-season before we get to the miles. Hopefully, we can pick up where we left off last year in the miles—winning.”

This is great news. I kept saying to everyone last year that Indian was going to wipe the floor in FTR. It's great to see my (our) prediction(s) come to fruition.

This was a great event with lot's of Indian fans. We got to visit the crew and riders before the race too. Highly recommend going when the race is in your area.

I really want one of these, or something styled just like it, in my garage.

They sponsored it and got their ass kicked.

Harley has sponsership on half the season races and Indian has sponsership on 2 nd half of the tracks. 18 races total I think? So 9 and 9.

I totally agree old chief... I do believe after this year with Indian dominating the track things will change next year or Harley would have to come out of pipe with a lot more money to keep their name out front because they're bike share ain't...lol

It's a sponsorship deal negotiated with the AMA flat track division. Anybody with enough bucks can buy into it, and have there posted all over the place.
