Thanks to all the people who have replied to my Thread, looks like their is a lot of riders that have lost their covers, due to poor design by Indian/Polaris.

We can only hope the manufactor will address this issue.

Keep your post going if you have lost your side covers:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

What covers are you talking about? Since when did this become an issue? They are a ***** to take off if they are installed correctly.

The service manager at my dealer addressed this issue with me. He said to spray a little cleaner polish on each attachment point to ensure the pins are fully inserted. Haven't had one come off yet.

You have been lucky so far, real good idea to check these covers before riding, they work lose and then blow off.

I don't know , I've never felt that when putting them back on where they could work loose. I sprayed some dry lube teflon spray on rubber and post on cover. They have a positive snap when they go on.

With all due respect to Indian owners, if they don't about this issue then they will not know that this happens, it is a design fault.
