I went for a ride today. The weather here in Sydney Australia was around 32c, (94f), and my wife and i went on a lovelly ride to Berry and back, about 250km (150m) round trip. Got a bit hot in the crotch when we had to crawl on approch to the township (man that engine pumps out the heat on a hot day!). Sorry you are experiencing snow. We are quite lucky here in that we get to ride all year round. Some of my best rides are done in winter in temperatures of around 16 to 18c (60 to 65f). I hope your snow ends soon.

    Regards Hank

18 degrees here today with snow and ice on the ground. I just started the Scout and brought temp up from 37 to 80 then shut her down. Supposed to be in the 60s W, Th, and F so maybe will get some actual riding in then. Seems central NC has a wintry mix of "real cold" and "warm enough" days in Jan and Feb that stowing it away under a cover with a battery tender may not be necessary.

Hmm ... note to future self: winter home in Sydney AU or southern FL. (I'm thinking the rides would be better in Sydney.)

Right in my backyard...I'm in Tallahassee. Nice roads abound in our areas.

Rode 75 miles in the 27 degree weather we had here in Tallahassee after shoving myself into my base layer (I call them mantie hose). Still froze my a$$ off.

Only 20 miles back and forth to work today, but it's mid-January in Chicago so, no complaints. Usually at this time of year there's snow and/or salt all over the roads preventing even short rides. [happy]

It is 68° in Mid Missouri, and although a bit windy, I rode around town and back roads for about an hour. Nice being back on the bike since last ride in December.

    BEAUTIFUL 850!
My first bike was a new 1981 650 Special II. It was $1995, then I added bags, fairing, and tail trunk, oh and a "cycle sound" stereo. I remember the 850 triple as well, but it was above my budget. I saw a 650 in a barn the other day it was in really bad shape.
