Just ordered a 17 Roadmaster, black and cream. Used the $1000 veterans discount offered by Polaris. Very nice! Thank you Polaris! Should be here in a few weeks I hope.

I believe all 2014 Chieftains had Bluetooth, mine did. Demos and Used can save you a lot of $$$$.
How bad do you want a big screen TV on your ride?

Bought a Roadmaster! At least it's ordered in black and cream. A lot of discussion re heat but I can't see any discussion of a COOLING FAN. I expect to be in some hot weather I am thinking of possibly adding a fan. I would like your opinion and recommendations and experience if you would please.

Tackling the heat will be the target of my first mods...

From many many many hours reading the forums here, it seems the heat comes down to two primary things:
    1. Catalytic Converter
    2. Lean EPA stock tune
Since I plan on doing mods to my intake and exhaust and *might* try cams myself, I decided a tuner would be my first purchase so I can avoid a dealer trip and "tune kit" for each mod. So, I got my DynoJet PVCX from the FedEx guy about an hour ago. Sent FuelMoto my CMP code and as soon as they send me a performance tune for stock equipment, I'll flash and ride (Tampa, FL area) and let you know if I feel any improvements on the heat.

Welcome from SW Missouri. Good luck with your decision. We bought our Indian in October and went with the 2016 due to the savings and plus I liked the color. The dealers seem to be more cooperative negotiating on the 2016 models.

I now see that my reply is a little late. Congrats on your new Roadmaster.

I liked the 2017 colors better and I wanted the big screen. I was less interested in saving money than getting what I wanted.

Congrats on the fantastic new ride. Let us how thrilled you are after 500 miles or do.:)

So I loaded the FuelMoto tune and it runs GREAT! Better throttle response and power... nice low rumble at idle and cruise. Was surprised at the difference a tune can make! First impressions on the heat is that it DOES feel cooler.. but obviously very subjective after one ride on a cool evening (~70 f), with high expectations. Will take some more riding to say for sure. Right side is still hotter from the cat. Seemed hotter in fact but that may just be temperature differential being higher... I wouldn't be surprised if a richer mixture made the overall system cooler and the cat a little hotter. But I'm just pulling knowledge out of my ass now... LOL

Just ordered a laser pyrometer and will get some empirical data with stock, fuelmoto, and dynojet tunes. Will be good to have for when I replace the headers too... Hate that goddamn cat! Will start a separate thread when I get the data and compare...
