      Hi Mike, I saw a pic you posted regarding 'crash bars'. I noticed that your DH has some paint removed, (or painted grey/silver), on the top covers of the engine. Can you share how you obtained that look? Happy Thanksgiving, Go Steelers!!!

        It was a slow process. I used high temp BBQ grill silver paint and applied with q-tips believe it or not. Keep a rag and thinner handy to wipe off any mistakes.

        Awesome job and very informative. Did the 'cotten' from the Q-tip constantly get into the finished portion while painting? How many coats did you apply and did you have to remove the gas tank of any parts? Thanks Again!!!

        No sticking, 1 coat, go slow and have a tip with thinner ready for mistakes, left tank on. Still looks great 2000 miles later.
