May I know which Dobeck did you had on your Indian? is it a plug and play unit or I have to select which map to run? I am thinking to install one for my 2016 DH with Jekyll &Hyde slip-on with SS high Air cleaner.

      Thank you in advance.

I see you enjoying some adventure riding, great journeys, I'm looking into buying another horse for the stable, I'd love to get into this adventure riding myself. I've been looking at 3 bikes, the GS 1200, KTM 1190 and the Yamaha Tenere. How reliable has your GS been?

Sorry for late reply, just found you're post. My 2003 R1150GS with 65k on the odo post AK has been great. I also have a 2006 BMW F650GS thumper that I'm setting up for 2018 and a return trip up there. I was a little overwhelmed on the big GS on some tougher sections I encountered and the smaller more dirt worth bike should be better...and easier to pick up if I dump it.

I am in Oak Creek and have had good experiences with both Rob and Racine. My Chieftain was the first bike they installed the new cams in.

      I see you're located WI.
I'm in Muskego, a mile away from Milwaukee Metro Indian.
      I have a 2015 Vintage.

Is that where you purchased/service your bike?

It was a toss up when I was looking at end of year 2015 Chieftains, due to a more complicated 2 bike trade I ended up buying from Racine. No knocks on Rob though, it was a tough call on my part. I try to patronize both.

I actually bought mine slightly used from a guy in South Dakota.
Rob is a good guy but he doesn't budge much on pricing - has that Harley background/mentality. The Racine dealership gave me a decent price on the performance cams and freedom exhaust installation. Have you had a good experience from their service department? What part of town are you from?
